Brandon Carestia is a skilled Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with 5
years of professional experience. He brings an extensive background
of treating a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological patients.
Utilizing techniques such as PRI, dry needling, pain science
education, and a holistic, full body approach, he is able to cater to
patients specific needs to allow them to optimize movement, navigate
and understand their pain, and maximize their quality of life.
His professional career began in 2019 after attending Marymount
University in Arlington, VA, to earn his DPT degree. During his time at
Marymount, he had the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a
wide range of outpatient settings, treating a variety of patients from
chronic pain to post operative recovery to outpatient neurological
rehab, as well as a service trip to Nicaragua providing needed
physical therapy services to a local neurological rehab hospital.
Following graduation, he began working at PT Solutions, where he
served as acting clinical director during the initial wave of the
COVID-19 pandemic, gaining invaluable experience in aspects of
patient care as well as day to day clinical operations. Seeking a desire
to spend more 1:1 time with patients, he began working with Inova
Physical Therapy in Ballston, VA. During his time with Inova, he
gained a wealth of experience treating post operative recovery for
orthopedic and musculoskeletal surgeries, as well as treating a wide
variety of orthopedic conditions. He was able to work in a large team
of physical therapists, PTAs, as well as close interaction and
collaboration with MDs and surgeons. Brandon elevated the clinical
ladder during his time with Inova, becoming a senior Physical
Therapist, as well as gaining a dry needling certification and mentoring
multiple full time clinical students. In 2023, to continue his clinical
growth he was introduced to the Postural Restoration Institute, where
he learned to emphasize a full body approach to address the root
cause of patients’ symptoms and optimize movement. Utilizing the 1:1
treatment model he was able to implement a range of treatment
methods to address the specific needs of the patient he was seeing.
Brandon is excited to continue his education and clinical growth as his
career continues.
Prior to Marymount, Brandon attended James Madison University
where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
with a pre-physical therapy concentration. Having grown up in Bucks
County, PA, he is thrilled to move back home and begin working with
his brother, Bryan, and serving the community he grew up in.
Outside of work, Brandon loves to live an active lifestyle. He is a huge
Philadelphia sports fan, loves to golf, and spends time with his friends
and family. After getting married in July, 2024, he and his wife are
excited to start this next chapter
